(those with * are only for Seniors participating in SYF.)

Hello guitarist~, back here to update again. Err, on last thursday, we had an informal practice at the performance theater. Thanks to those who came, especially the section leaders. There MAY be more practices of such, if we think you guys need extra practice. [most prob not, cos you're gonna have to come back on saturday for the following few months.] But if you guys wanna have individual sectionals, the Thursday time slot is always open. But full ensemble practice will be different though. We did tanya's tango, screwed up la bamba [HAHA!] and tried mastering Pirates movement A & B. Mov C, we did not have much time cos i promised to end before 5.
We're gonna have to do Movement C on next tuesday and una noche too. So section leaders, please follow up on your sectionals or smth. On the friday practice, we began with Sectionals for an hour then ensemble. Mr Eng had to go to another school so we had sectionals for awhile again then ensemble again. Err we have improved a tiny bit. But there's still room for improvement though :) Practice hard everybody! :D
Oh pertaining to the competition, it will be held on April 2 2011. Its a Guitar Competition between the different schools. And there will be another exchange prog to be held in OUR school on 14 March 2011 Its a school holiday~ So look forward to it! :D And these events will also broaden our exposure with different schools and also listen to their syf pieces :D
Other than that, there's nothing much ald. PLEASE PRACTICE HARD. :D We can do it! :D

Overview of our ensemble.
our initial roots.
From a humble beginning in 2006 with only 20 members, the Guitar Ensemble has grown both in character and strength. This year we managed to recruit a total of 26 secondary 1 members, making a total of 46 members in the ensemble. As a relatively new CCA, the ensemble too experienced its fair share of teething problems especially in the initial stages. However, with the support, commitment and dedication shown by its pioneer members, the ensemble managed to overcome these challenges.
We took part in SYF 2007, 2009 and was awarded Bronze and Silver respectively. The students practiced very hard to ensure a great performance for the competition. Practices were intensified to 3 times a week in preparation for this major project. The members have shown resilience in improving their guitar playing skills, and was rewarded in this event.
The ensemble is currently under the guidance and instruction of Mr Alvyn Eng.
