Sorry for not posting yesterday right after the open house. But i want to say a BIG THANKYOU for those who arrived at 7am on Saturday. Really really appricated it. Anyways, thanks for enduring my ameteur conducting skills. HAHA. Well guitarists, it really paid off. We gave it our all and it was great :) So much better than the sound check rehersals the day before. At least 20% better. BUT DONT STOP HERE, WE STILL CAN IMPROVE A WHOLE LOT MORE! :D I'm sure you guys are really happy and proud of yourselves. Great work! :) And thanks to the juniors for handling the Guitar Booth in the Canteen! I hope we continue to improve as this is one of our syf pieces too. So lets work together alright! :)
Guitar Practices will resume on tuesday as per normal. Please come 15 mins earlier than the designated time to set up and tune your guitars. Please check with your respective Section Leaders if you have outside-of-cca-time sectionals to help you guitarists improve on your guitar skills! :)
For those who are sick [like me], please take care and get well soon! :)

Overview of our ensemble.
our initial roots.
From a humble beginning in 2006 with only 20 members, the Guitar Ensemble has grown both in character and strength. This year we managed to recruit a total of 26 secondary 1 members, making a total of 46 members in the ensemble. As a relatively new CCA, the ensemble too experienced its fair share of teething problems especially in the initial stages. However, with the support, commitment and dedication shown by its pioneer members, the ensemble managed to overcome these challenges.
We took part in SYF 2007, 2009 and was awarded Bronze and Silver respectively. The students practiced very hard to ensure a great performance for the competition. Practices were intensified to 3 times a week in preparation for this major project. The members have shown resilience in improving their guitar playing skills, and was rewarded in this event.
The ensemble is currently under the guidance and instruction of Mr Alvyn Eng.
